A unique project situated close to the Danum Valley, The Sabah Seed Bank Malaysia was established to protect land for a living collection center (LCC) for all tropical rain forest species in Malaysia and neighboring countries. Plant nurseries for seed protection, germination and propagation to support species protection as well as reforestation are central to the concept. Eco hotels and education facilities support eco tourism and the education of the visiting public. The living seed collection at Sabah Seed Bank provides for Riverine forest, Dipterocarp forest, Heath forests, Montane forests and limestone forests.
